Today I am going to share my favorite"Dessert with a Purpose"recipe to help boost your immune system. Yep. You read that right. I'm going to give you a recipe for dessert, that is delicious, and strengthens your lungs.

But here's the best part... this is dessert with a PURPOSE.Not only does it taste likeharvest heaven, but also, the power of pears (a medicinal super food) hits 3 other health-building birds with 1 stone! According to Chinese Medicine, the simple yet delicious pear can...

Great for dessert or even over cottage cheese fora sweet yet balanced breakfast, you'll be pulling this one out ALL through the holiday season.

BONUS: At our house we like to slice up leftover pears for a charcuterie board. It's a hit at every party that we attend. YUM!

Here's the recipe. 👇🏻

Dr. Kimberly's Infamous Baked Pear Recipe

Ingredients:

4 Pears—cut in half.

Butter (1/2 pat per half pear.)

Cinnamon (A sprinkle per half pear.)

Honey (A quick drizzle per half pear.)

Pecan (Top with one crumbled pecan half per pear.)

Steps:

  1. Cut pears in half.

  2. Scoop out the seed portion.

  3. Place pears cut side up in a baking dish.

  4. Add butter, honey, cinnamon, and crumbled pecan to each pear half.

  5. Bake at 350° for 35 minutes,

Alterations:

  • You can substitute 1 teaspoon of brown sugar for honey.

  • You can substitute apples for pears (apples help to strengthen the Large Intestine)

  • If you are in our six-week weight loss program—don't add butter, honey or pecans to the recipe. Add a little stevia instead. It will still be delicious!
